PREP TIME– 3 Minutes
ITEMS NEEDED– Silver Spoons (metal work better than plastic), 2 Cadbury Eggs for Each Team (have extras)
GAME TIME– 5-10 Minutes
PARTICIPANTS– 8-12 Participants per Team (make sure they are even)
If you are inside, start by laying down some plastic in the areas that your teams will play on. If you’re able to be outside on grass, you can skip this step. Once you’re done with that, line teams up in a single file line, with the first person approximately 15′-20′ from the end (you may want to mark the beginning & end line with tape, a cone, shoe, hat or whatever you can find).
The first person will then proceed to take their spoon and put it in their mouth, clamping down on it with their teeth to keep it steady. Next, put a Cadbury Egg on the spoon and explain the following:
Teams must see how far they can carry their eggs in the fastest amount of time with the least breakage. If the Cadbury Egg falls off, pick it back up where it fell and continue on. Make sure to keep the eggs wrapped so they don’t explode all over.
The goal is to walk to the end line and then turn around and walk back to the beginning with out breaking their precious egg.
Once everyone has gone, the last person will then open the egg up and eat it. You may find a massacre under the wrapper (if it has oozed out, give them another egg)! The first team to have someone chew and swallow the egg is the winner of the Cadbury Egg Relay!!
1. Instead of Cadbury Eggs, use plastic eggs and put something small inside each one. When they come back to the next person in line, have them eat what is in the egg before tagging the next person to go.
2. Instead of Cadbury Eggs, pile something else on the spoon, like M&M’s (fill it as full as possible). Have teams take a round trip and see how many M&M’s remain on the spoon. Count who can carry the most back. The team that tallies the most at the end of the set time frame, wins!
1. Award Cadbury Eggs to the winning team.
2. Award an Easter basket with candy goodies inside for the winning team to split up.
