Blindfolded Banana Bonanza

Yet another wonderful Wednesday is upon us, so that must mean it’s time for Wednesday’s Wild Game of the Week! Today’s game is Blindfolded Banana Bonanza.

In all honesty, today’s game is not as much a game as it is a bit of a fun prank. That being said, you may have the perfect person in mind by the time you finish reading this post!

PLEASE choose someone who can deal with being laughed at. I recommend older guys, maybe even a leader. You know your group best, but it probably wouldn’t go down real well if you caused a sensitive Jr. Higher to run out crying!!

PREP TIME– 5 Minutes

ITEMS NEEDED– Table, 4 Plates, 4 Bananas, 4 Blindfolds (good ones!), 4 Assistants

GAME TIME– 2-3 Minutes

PARTICIPANTS– 4 Participants & 4 Adult Assistants

INSTRUCTIONS

This game is not so much a competition, as it is amusing and hysterical. Place the four bananas down on the plates and set one plate in front of each student as they stand behind the table facing the audience.

Blindfold each contestant and tell them that they have to eat the banana without using their hands and the first person to finish wins. But here’s where the fun begins. Only one person will be eating the banana. Remove all but one contestant’s blindfold as you are counting down. They will need to be very quiet and it helps if the host gets the crowd into it so that it is hard for the participants to hear what’s going on.

Once you say “go”, have everyone cheer on the one remaining contestant as if it were a close race. Once they are done, remove the blindfold and watch their face as they realize that they were the only one eating. That look is priceless!

Award them a prize (maybe a bunch of bananas) and thank them for being a good sport.

BONUS TIPS

1. We like to use bananas because they are messy and difficult to eat without hands.

2. Use blindfolds that they will not be able to see through. If they can, this game is toast!

3. Video everything so the blindfolded person can watch it. You can also post it on Facebook or YouTube for everyone to enjoy!

4. If possible, place the participants behind the table (facing the audience) on an elevated platform. It allows everyone to see better.

So there you have it, Wednesday’s Wild Game of the Week. We hope you have an amazing day and make sure to subscribe to our blog and follow us on Twitter @stumingames to get all the latest games and tips!
