Number 5 on our Top Ten Relay Countdown is Cracker Whistle!
This was a great game we played at our Summer Camp. I’ve found that these times are amazing opportunities to invest into students lives, but they are also fantastic resources for game ideas. Don’t be afraid to use game ideas you see at camps!
PREP TIME– 5 Minutes
ITEMS NEEDED– Saltine Crackers (Ritz work too)
GAME TIME– 5-10 Minutes
PARTICIPANTS– 2 Even Teams of at least 7 or more (more teams is great too!)
INSTRUCTIONS
I say it all the time, but I love simple games! All you need for this game is at least two teams lined up in a single-file line.
At that point, set a line for the start point and place crackers about 20 ft away. At this point, each team will send one individual in a relay type event to chew up a cracker. once they’ve chewed for a second, they must whistle (or recite the ABC’s). When finished, they will run back to the team and tag the next person in line.
First team to finish and sit in a single-file line, wins!
BONUS TIP
Have teams stand up to start and sit as they finish. To keep it orderly, mark a starting point and have each individual move up to the line when it’s their turn.
