Suck It Up is fun relay game that will test your group’s lung power and get them moving!
PREP TIME – 3 Minutes
ITEMS NEEDED – Straw for Each Player, Item to Suck at End of Straw (Mini-Marshmallows, Peas, Beans, etc)
GAME TIME – 10-15 Minutes
PARTICIPANTS – Divide into even groups of 10-20
You will need a large enough space to play this game. Enough room to have teams line up in single-file line with at least 20 feet to the pile of marshmallows (or whatever you choose to use) is sufficient.
Once teams are lined up, they will run to the pile of marshmallows on the ground. They will have to kneel down and suck it up with their straw. They must then keep sucking and hold it all the way back across the the original starting line. If they drop it, they must pick it up in the place they dropped it, once again, only using their straw.
The first team to carry all their marshmallows back is the winner!
Have different items that they can suck up with their straw. You can give the harder to move items higher point values so teams can choose to go big or go home.
1. Have some extra straws on hand. A small hole in one will make the challenge significantly harder for the participants.
2. Award the winning team with some marshmallows or whatever item you used to suck up with the straw.
