We keep our 40 scavenger hunts going with an exciting Beach Photo Scavenger Hunt courtesy of Ray Hintz of StuMinStuff!
Scavenger hunts are great way to build camaraderie among teams and enjoy an afternoon among smaller groups. This is even more enjoyable when you get to play at the beach!
Since you won’t be traveling anywhere, other than by foot, you don’t need any money for the game, just a score sheet and a camera on your phone.
Over the next 40 days, we will be sharing one scavenger hunt each day, but if you absolutely can’t wait to see them all or want them all in one place, you can download the Kindle version on Amazon!
Today, we continue our scavenger hunt list with a Beach Photo Scavenger Hunt.
PREP TIME – 5 minutes
ITEMS NEEDED – PDF Printouts for Each Team, Camera (on phone), Prizes (optional)
GAME TIME – 2-3 Hours
PARTICIPANTS – Everyone (Teams of 4-5)
Print the Beach Photo Scavenger Hunt before you start. Once your group arrives, take a moment to determine how many teams you will need, separate your group into teams and assign boundaries. As a precaution, have each team take two phones (in case a battery dies).
Give each team a list of items to look for and send them out. Make sure to give them a time in which they need to be back.
Once they arrive back from the hunt, have them bring in their items to be scored one by one. Keep a record of their points and announce the top scores to the entire group, concluding with the winning team!
Stay tuned for more Scavenger Hunts. Happy Hunting!
1. Since you’re outdoors for a good period of time, make sure groups have plenty of sunscreen.
2. If possible, create an excel sheet for the items on the list and a breakout for the score. If you don’t have access to a laptop or tablet, just use the score sheets to quickly tally the scores by looking through the pics.
3. Post the best pics online and create your own hashtag for the group. Let everyone appreciate the experience!
4. Give away some fun beach toys to the champions!
